Ticketing with cryptocurrencies?
« on: March 06, 2018, 06:24:33 PM »
I wondered if there is already some cryptocurrency for ticketing? For example in the cultural or sports sector to buy a ticket just with a cryptocurrency? Or is this still far from reality? I imagine, that an sports club or a museum must accept the cryptocurrency and this could be a big problem for such a project to exist or even to start, but maybe there is already something out there. I am sure, that you guys have some information about this topic. If not, its also ok...I am just curious. ;)

Good evening,

Well, i don't think there are a lot of projects right now which are focused on that area but at least a few. ;) Last Week i read this article about the Cultural Coin:
https://thenextweb.com/cryptocurrency/2018/03/02/startup-creating-cultural-cryptocurrency-museums-institutions/

Seems like some kind of ticketing and crowdfunding solution for supporters/visitors of museums/landmarks. If it works out like the creators have planned it, you could buy tickets by using such Coins or a museum could for example start a crowdfunding pool for hosting some new event.

ICO runs right now (until early April) but before you make a decision, you should also read the whitepaper:

May you live in interesting times

many travel agencies have initiates there trips by booking tickets with the cryptocurrencies CheapAir was the first Air company which accepted Bitcoin for the booking of the tickets in 2013. Spanish travel agency Destinia.com also accepts Bitcoin for the bookings. So you have the opportunities to avail with your crypto wallet.

Cryptocurrencies are very volatile and unstable and it's the problem for them to break into mainstream usage. Solution may be alt coins with solid backing and rock stable rate of exchange independent from BTC. Good example is Nebula Network - it's decentralized storage cloud with emission mechanism tied to the supply in form of computational power and disc space. I suggest to read about it on their site.
