Are crypto wallets safe?
« on: October 11, 2019, 10:01:08 AM »
  • Yes. You should not share the public and private keys with anyone.
  • Protect your mobile and PC with antivirus
  • Keep paper wallets secured in a safe.

I have trust issues so I don't fully trust that crypto wallets are safe. I think we just have to do our due diligence when it comes to choosing the lesser evil among crypto wallets around.

Yeah they are safe. However you just need to choose the right one for yourself. So better choose those which are safe and commonly used.

It’s worth adding the main rule of the Internet as a whole that antiviruses will not save you if you use sites that are not credible.

As far I am concern, yes it’s very very much safe without 2nd guessing. But of course, I will really not want to just keep it in hope of gaining like that. I would say it’s sensible to make full use of our idle funds. And one of the most popular ways right now is P2pclub. The thing that really works out for it in terms of right direction is having something for everyone. As Borrowers get money without selling Crypto Assets. While investors offer loans and get reasonable returns. With the technology of Blockchain and AI combined with Big Data, it ensures full security. P2P Lending platform is something that can be ideal for everyone instead of keeping things in wallet.

I agree. No anti-virus is 100% virus-proof and if one visits shady sites they will get malware eventually.

Cryptocurrency wallets are completely secure, provided that only you have access to the private key.

All exchange and browser wallets (logging into the site) are not secure because private key is known to service provider.

Desktop and mobile wallets are at risk because private key can be stolen.

The most secure are paper and hardware wallets. Savings should be kept on them.

You can use more convenient mobile and desktop wallets for small amounts.

Yes, they are safe but you should use an offline wallet which is also known as cold storage. It provides the highest level of security to save your crypto coins. Such storage store your wallet in a safe place that is not connected to the network. It is a good practice to store your coins in a cold wallet.

Nothing is 100% safe, in my opinion. I too thing an offline wallet is preferable.
