Are you spending your Bitcoin?
« on: August 10, 2014, 11:32:03 AM »
I just read this:
http://www.finance-guy.net/finblog/how-will-you-spend-your-bitcoin/10/8/2014

Makes an interesting point.  If we buy stuff with BTC and the company just sells it for cash right away, it's probably not good for the BTC price.

What do you think?  Will shopping with BTC be good or bad for BTC?

I think most of the shop owners probably hold their bitcoin. IMO we need more bitcoin marketplaces.

I use bitcoin for DASH investments as well as to buy expired domains at Namecheap. Considering latest BTC price changes, I would rather hold my free cash in Bitcoins instead of dollars huh

If I can get something cheaper for bitcoin that I can for dollars I would probably just bitcoin to shop. This isn't 100% though because with the price of bitcoin going up just because that item appears to have a cheaper bitcoin price now, doesn't mean it will still be cheaper 1 month from now if the price of bitcoin goes up (if that makes sense). Right now i'm just holding my bitcoin partially because the price is going up, partially because I only own a few dollars of bitcoin ><

yes i do spend them but mainly on game sites and i dont mean gambling im a big mmorpg fan and more are starting to give you ways to pay
even if its through a third party site in bitcoin, the third party sites can be a bit of a rip off but if its not coming out your own pocket and you are claiming micro earnings from faucets then its not so bad, more games and sites should use bitcoin i cant believe they cannot see the potential goldmine of all those bitcoins they could get ,players who would probably never buy or if they do its very little can have a source of expenditure
to use instead of their own money its got to be a win win,if i was a game owner i would be pimping the butt off bitcoin 24/7 :)

Yes. I use debit card to trade BTC. It takes less than 1 minutes to spend off.

It would be a great idea to have btc as major payment option. But i do not think that online major shopping company will take bitcoin payment directly as they already have gift card option available.

Bitcoins are a unique electronic currency. In fact, Bitcoins are coins e-gold can be transferred online, and all transactions are conducted in general and can be tracked. Therefore, transparent system allows users to make transfers without going through banks or exchange. Without tedious registration process and scan the document again - Bitcoin account opening require only one click. In addition, the Bitcoin system based on open-source cryptographic protocols and encryption hacking is impossible.

Bitcoins are digital currency decentralized, so there is not the sole owner. The system is run on servers scattered around the world and is owned by different people. This makes immune to negative factors as well as inflation. Additionally, Bitcoins are increasingly popular around the world; therefore the interest of traders on these instruments is increasing.
