Are you spending your Bitcoin?
« on: August 10, 2014, 11:32:03 AM »
I just read this:
http://www.finance-guy.net/finblog/how-will-you-spend-your-bitcoin/10/8/2014

Makes an interesting point.  If we buy stuff with BTC and the company just sells it for cash right away, it's probably not good for the BTC price.

What do you think?  Will shopping with BTC be good or bad for BTC?

It looks like a great project, I read about it on their website https://ethernity.cloud/

Their social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
They announced that the pre-sale will start shortly and then the public sale will start shortly thereafter. I am considering participating in this project

What do you guys think about it? (By the way, this is their telegram chat-https: //t.me/ethernitycloud)

Yes. I pay via bitcoin (but mostly via tether) on different websites for goods and service. I used Paxful with its card before but want to try smth new. Heard some good review about Trastra on Baxity site. Did you hear about them? Should I trust them?

I have the 261Bitcoins wallet of the Bitfinex Hack 2016

I have these BItcoins in my Wallet, product of the Binance hack of 2016. I have problems to exchange them since the address is banned from all exchanges, so I want to exchange them with other cryptocurrencies such as ETH, XMR, DOGE or any other.. What I offer is to give a 50% discount for each BTC we exchange, so you can earn and I can use these BTC to exchange ... (example: for every $ 5,000 USD you send in my wallet I will send 15,000 USD in Bitcoin to your wallet.)

I do this so I can use clean cryptocurrencies and
that other people make money because the pandemic is gone
many poor people in the world.

It's over 9 million Dollars in Bitcoin. you can see the Bitcoins in the following link.

It will be good when companies start holding BTC instead of instantly converting it to USD.  I've heard that Overstock keeps a portion of the funds received as BTC.
After such a fall, it is better not to rush to sell

Agree with you. But there is still a possibility to go even lower.

I have never traded Bitcoins, but I prefer Forex Trading and I have learned a lot. Forex Trading is considered to be the best way to make money, but not an easy one.

I agree that we need to use Bitcoin more, otherwise it will never gain traction, but given the current setup used by merchants... spending bitcoin is the same as selling it as they just convert instantly to receive cash

The current paradigm of bitcoin is a store of value, and a store of value asset doesn't really need to be significantly traded in order to be one.

It's pretty difficult to hold or spend what you don't have.

Bitcoin is the hardest money that has been around in recent times... when it comes to spending, it doesn't make sense to spend the kind of money that you know is going to appreciate tremendously in value over time. So to spend, I would stick with fiat. That same fiat will only buy less in time whereas that same bitcoin that you spend today would only buy so much more in time.

No I’m not! Because I know the real value of BTC, that’s why I have no plan to spend my holding BTC so cheaply.
But may you know; now we are in corona pandemic situation. So, everything is unstable now! Anything can happen right now, including financial issues!
Such as, I sold my (full amount) 0.56BTC in the Feb of 2020 but I have no regret! Know why? Because, I needed that amount badly, afterward I buyback in Q4 of 2020. In addition, now I’m holding tightly.
