Ripple is not going high any more I believe because they have serious judicial problems.

I am a Bitcoin enthusiast so I believe only in this coin. I am pretty sure that there will be only BTC in the end. Here are working strategies of trading BTC long and short https://primexbt.com/trade-bitcoin-long-and-short [nofollow] A very useful article with many details how to make big money with cryptocoin #1.

Well, Bitcoin will probably be the king for crypto for ever, holding the majority of the value of the market. However, there are real-world use-cases for projects like Ethereum that will continue to increase it's value. What we're left with after a few cycles is not certain, but I'm convinced that coins like ETH will survive along side it.

Ripple got sued because the SEC thinks that XRP is a security. This should not come as a huge surprise, as they have been discussing it for years. The prior head of the SEC was anti-crypto as well.

[...]

Do you think XRP will survive this?
I agree that it is not a big surprise. Also, it shines a light on some regulatory issues and gray zones that should be solved if we want cryptos to be regulated in a way that makes sense.

I agree. I think all of this will force the regulators to finally get some regulation done. This is, after all, a result of unclear and lacking regulation, and they all know it.

The future of XRP is dim. Even if they win the case, they would have spent months/years fighting it, which is like decades in crypto. Their competitors will make sure to take advantage of this...

It may not be as dim as we think. Ripple reported record profits for 2020 despite the lawsuits. They are not down for the count yet.

You're right, I didn't even consider Ripple's competitors until now. I'm sure they will benefit from this but I don't think that will undermine XRP that much - I mean, if Ripple ends up winning the lawsuit, XRP will surely surge because that will be big news and people still speculate now.

Another thing to remember is that internationally, they are still in the game. The SEC is only operating in the US...

True. But if they have to pay SEC over 1 billion dollars they'd be hurting internationally as well.

That's a good point. Guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out...  I'm not putting my hard earned money into XRP though that's for sure.

That's true, but exchanges operate internationally and many of them delisting XRP doesn't help :/
