Great article!! Really nice insights. I think some people struggle with claiming bitcoin as a currency because it's not something that they can "hold." We can hold dollars and coins. Of course, the newest generation won't have any prob seeing btc as a currency since everything is digital to them as it is -- they don't know any different.

This virtual currency, designed in 2008 by a person with the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto to be taken anywhere, anytime, is uncontrolled by any banking system, send money to another country instead take many hours it will take a few moments. You can be exchanged for other currencies, or with the help of a special program to kick bitcoiny, need a good graphics card.
In short bitcoin currency is simply the most perfect building blocks of numbers and letters coded so that they can not break ;)

Just so you know, bitcoin is a p2p coin. This is the first ever cryptocurrency in the history. No one can outlaw or regulate it, even government authorities because it is purely decentralized. As the latest virtual mode of payment, BTC has also wide arrays of usages in different industries. Bitcoin evolves so fast so always keep yourself updated! That's a helpful video, btw.

Bitcoin can be used to buy things electronically. In that sense, it’s like conventional dollars, euros, or yen, which are also traded digitally.

Bitcoin is a currency, although digital, qualifies it for trading. It can be held, bought, traded, invested or stolen. The most extensively circulated cryptocurrency, originated in 2009 by someone (or some people) using the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. It is produced by the process of “mining”, essentially using a computer’s processing power to work out intricate algorithms called “blocks.” Miners earn about25 Bitcoins once block is decrypted. This relies on GPU power. Another method of trading, is to basically exchanging fiat currency at a Bitcoin exchange.

I know this forum is dedicated to Bitcoin, however does anyone know if this new Bitgold can be held in on paper wallets in the same way that bitcoin can be held on paper for security. I called the Bitgold support and they had no idea what cold storage or paper wallets were to the digital currency world.

Bitcoin is a digital currency (also called crypto-currency) that is not backed by any country's central bank or government. Bitcoins can be traded for goods or services with vendors who accept Bitcoins as payment. The bitcoin network is designed to mathematically generate no more than 21 million Bitcoins and the network is set up to regulate itself to deal with inflation. Bitcoins can be spent by initiating a transfer request from a Bitcoin address in the customer's wallet to a Bitcoin address in the vendor's wallet.
Bitcoins are created as a reward for payment processing work in which users offer their computing power to verify and record payments into a public ledger.

I don't want to tell you what is Bitcoin. Just I want to tell you it's so important how you gonna get familiar with bitcoin.
The whole concept is a bit complex at the begging but keep going and try to read websites like techcoins.net and article about it to get more familiar with topic.

Bitcoin works via something called the blockchain. Every time you do a transaction, it gets included in a block (which is all the recent transactions bundled together) and every 10 minutes or so, that new block gets accepted into the stack of blocks called the blockchain. So that's how it works every 10 minutes the whole network breathes, and updates network wide with the new block of transactions. Mining serves the purpose of verifiying these new blocks.

A type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank.

Bitcoin is a consensus network that enables a new payment system and a completely digital money. It is the first decentralized peer-to-peer payment network that is powered by its users with no central authority or middlemen. From a user perspective, Bitcoin is pretty much like cash for the Internet. Bitcoin can also be seen as the most prominent triple entry bookkeeping system in existence.

Bitcoin Basic Concepts

Bitcoin is a shared ledger.  It is essentially a spreadsheet that shows how many bitcoins each account contains.  All the complications come from the need to make sure it is valid and everyone see the same ledger.
The current state of the ledger is determined by a decentralized and trustless consensus.  It cannot be controlled at any central point.
Bitcoin “mining” is the process of adding transactions to the ledger and is done by solving math problems that take substantial computational power.
The “consensus” is achieved by users and “miners” deciding to run compatible versions of the software and enforcing the consensus rules.
Users can run “nodes” using peer-2-peer connections that shares the ledger.  By running a full node a user can completely verify all transactions without the need of a third party service.
Nodes enforce the rules by only broadcasting transactions and sections of the ledger that fit within the consensus rules.
A user can easily verify the shared ledger took a huge amount of computational power to create as a way of trusting it is real.
Miners get transaction fees and “block rewards” as an incentive to use their computer power.
The “block rewards” are a way to initially distribute the currency and are cut in half about every 4 years until all 21 million bitcoins are distributed in 2140.  Due to the nature of “halving” most bitcoins are distributed during the first few halvings.  It was 50 Bitcoins for the first 4 years and is currently 25 Bitcoins.  In 2016 it will be 12.5 and in 2020 it will be 6.25.
Bitcoin addresses are secure because the numbers are so large that all the computers in the world cannot come close to cracking it.
A Bitcoin can be broken down to 8 decimal digits so each one has 100 million pieces.
A Bitcoin transaction can be used to indirectly store information in the permanent shared ledger without trusting a third party.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency. It is one of the first digital currencies to use peer-to-peer (P2P) technology to facilitate instant payments. It is a user as well as a tech-friendly digital currency and thus public can access it easily. Nobody owns or controls Bitcoin.

Bitcoins are traded easily with the help of transfers between the sender and receiver through wallets. A wallet is a small personal database that can be stored on your computer drive, smartphone, tablet or somewhere in the cloud through which one can buy and sell BTC.

Bitcoins are made and circulated through a self-governing process of ‘mining’. It is referred to as self-governing because only 21 million total BTC will be allowed to exist ever, out of which almost 11 million BTC have been mined already and are in current circulation.

Bitcoins are completely virtual coins designed to be self contained for their value with no needs for bank to move and store the money. Once you have bitcoin, they behave like physical gold coins, they possess value and trade if they were nuggets of gold in your wallet/pocket. You can use your bitcoins to buy goods, items and pay bills.

Bitcoin is a virtual money in which privacy methods are used to manage the creation of currency and authenticate the fund’s transfer, working independently of a central bank. Two individuals can use it for an online transaction to each other.  In the last couple of weeks, you have apparently listened about Bitcoin uprising, a digital money that has been evolving at a good rate over the last several years. Bitcoin was lately in the news because of the virus attack in European countries along with others; i.e. Ransomware WannaCry. These cyber-attacks were one of the largest attacks of this kind, affecting the systems around the world; and the anonymous hackers asked Ransom in Bitcoins. This is because transactions of Bitcoins are practically untraceable.

Bitcoin is pseudonymous, meaning that funds are not tied to real-world entities but rather bitcoin addresses. Owners of bitcoin addresses are not explicitly identified, but all transactions on the blockchain are public. In addition, transactions can be linked to individuals and companies through "idioms of use" (e.g., transactions that spend coins from multiple inputs indicate that the inputs may have a common owner) and corroborating public transaction data with known information on owners of certain addresses.

Simple explanation of bitcoin
How bitcoin works ?
What is blockchain ?

Bitcoin price change can be attributed to multiple factors.
Economic Factors - Supply / Demand fluctuations
Public Sentiments - Sentimentals attached to ownership of bitcoins
Charts and Trends - Technical analysis trends can have impact on price change
Market News - Banks or reputed individuals and other institutions forming opinions on Bitcoin survival and future
Legal Impositions - Governments posing restricitions or liberaliing use of bitcoin can have a critical impact
Security - Security concerns like hacking into popular exchanges can hurt sentiments in the short run
Mining Difficulty - In the case of proof-of-work blockchains such as Bitcoin, the mining difficulty of a coin can also have a direct relationship with its price.
Obizcoin ICO is developing a BOT to automate business processes for SMEs and Startups. This BOT is developed on AI and Blockchain Technology thus enabling organisation to organize and scale up.

Bitcoin is a story about freedom of money, since both these theses are most brazenly violated in this payment system. Bitcoin does not issue any of its administrative centers. New money appears in the system as a reward for those who managed to create a new block using the hash selection method (which is what it is - see below).
There is no compulsory arbitration of transactions: money is transferred from one participant to another without the participation of third parties. No commission system, no restrictions: free movement of funds to anywhere in the world.
There is no central place for storing information about transactions. All operations are written to a database, which is stored distributed, on each client computer of the network. And the information on transactions on the principle of the torrent is replenished, by disseminating data from one participant in the system to another.
There is no built-in system of binding money and personalities. Money is completely separate from the person, anonymous.
Bitcoin - this is so unusual money that an unprepared person can be difficult to delve into all the "breaking the canons" features of this currency. Therefore we will analyze the mechanism of their action in stages in order to understand the whole architecture.

That's a pretty funny cartoon about bitcoin=) Bitcoin is really convenient although not many people were able to appreciate it. It's still quite a profitable investment.

You can’t really understand about Bitcoin like that, if you want to understand about it, then you need the proper expert guide. Please don’t think any expert is FREE enough to come and guide you like that. Everything has its own cost. And people who invest in knowledge are one who is always happy and successful.

I have put my money into learning, it has really helped me in a major way not just to understand how this industry works, but also to do with ways I could go about earning. I am lucky to found James; [EDITED]!

Bitcoin is a digital currency which uses peer-to-peer technology to facilitate instant payments. The transaction of bitcoin is a transfer of value between Bitcoin wallets that gets included in the block chain. Bitcoin wallets keep a secret piece of data called a private key, which is used to sign transactions, providing a mathematical proof that they have come from the owner of the wallet. The below figure helps you to better understand the working of bitcoin.

Great article!! Really nice insights. I think some people struggle with claiming bitcoin as a currency because it's not something that they can "hold." We can hold dollars and coins. Of course, the newest generation won't have any prob seeing btc as a currency since everything is digital to them as it is -- they don't know any different.
I completely agree

BISE Multan has the jurisdiction of Multan, Khanewal and Lodhran schools and colleges and Multan Board is also responsible to conduct the matric and inter annual exams. Similarly, HSSC date sheet of the annual exams of intermediate class is issued in March while the annual exams of HSSC in the month of April. Approximately 24,000 students appear in the annual exams of Matric class while about 13,000 students appear in the FA/FSc annual exams. Multan board takes three months in the preparation of the annual exams result, which is also updated on its official website.

Bitcoin was designed with many unique features to become a payment option, store of value or simply an alternative digital currency. Since its history it's moving on extensively to find and prove the best niche for Bitcoin, not only in the crypto space but the way it's integrated into the modern everyday life all over the world. Bitcoin has still much of potential, that can hopefully be realized to transform life for better.

Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency with a value of 1BTC=$8000 currently. You can trade this coin as its value fluctuate due to the liquidity of the market. The currency has a bright future, so if you have the Bitcoin then you will be a wealthier person in the near future.

BTC is an archetype of cryptocurrencies but it has no real value, poor speculation. I thing that future of market are coins like Nebula Network with solid backing and rock stable rate independent from BTC.

BTC is a great archetype of cryptocurrency! However I prefer more innovative projects. I thing that soon we will see alt coins with rock stable rate independent from BTC. There is already Nebula Network - decentralized storage cloud with emission mechanism tied to the supply (in form of computational power and disc space). Thanks of solid backing it's rock stable. May it be a solution for investor fears?

Some really nice explanations, thanks for that!
I needed this channel when I tried to explain my mum what bitcoin actually is - she thought I'm doing something illegal.
Hopefully I can bring her this topic closer now (:

Hahah, actually I'm not surprised mums can think so. Monero for example is used all over the Dark Net (where you can buy, share and sell anything illegal).

And yes, explanations here are very helpful, thanks to you all!

What is Bitcoin?

Web definitions: A decentralised digital currency created in 2009; A client for the above currency.
(en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bitcoin)

Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network.

It's actually turning out to be a great way to invest, believe it or not. It's like watching the stocks go up and down every day. Keeps me on my toes.

Bitcoin is digital cash which eliminated one of the biggest disadvantages of digital cryptocurrencies faced before they took off, called double spending. With no intermediate authority to settle transactions and verify them, it was possible to spend the same funds twice.

In very simple terminology Bitcoin is a form of digital currency. It is considered to be the first form of digital currency or cryptocurrency. Unlike our regular currency it is not issued or controlled by central authority such as banks or financial institutions. As per the information mentioned on the website Bitcoin.org Bitcoin means:- Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, or a digital currency, that uses rules of cryptography for regulation and generation of units of currency. Bitcoin is the talk of the town these days. This sent a negative signal to the world in relation to Bitcoin.

To cut through some of the confusion surrounding bitcoin, we need to separate it into two components. On the one hand, you have bitcoin-the-token, a snippet of code that represents ownership of a digital concept – sort of like a virtual IOU. On the other hand, you have bitcoin-the-protocol, a distributed network that maintains a ledger of balances of bitcoin-the-token. Both are referred to as "bitcoin."

The system enables payments to be sent between users without passing through a central authority, such as a bank or payment gateway. It is created and held electronically. Bitcoins aren't printed, like dollars or euros – they're produced by computers all around the world, using free software.

It was the first example of what we today call cryptocurrencies, a growing asset class that shares some characteristics of traditional currencies, with verification based on cryptography.

Each Bitcoin is basically a computer file which is stored in a 'digital wallet' app on a smartphone or computer. People can send Bitcoins (or part of one) to your digital wallet, and you can send Bitcoins to other people. Every single transaction is recorded in a public list called the block chain

For me, cryptocurrency is a way to quickly pay off someone, without spending on significant commissions. I know for sure that my transfer will quickly reach any country and will not be delayed for several days or weeks by a bank employee. As a bonus, the crypt also allows you to pay anonymously.

In nowadays cryptocurrency is not more then exchange money between rich people, politicians, criminals and luckies, who invested money in right time in right place.

This is my own subjective opinion, but in my country this type of payment is only for middle and upper class people. I hope it'll change in near future.

Bitcoin was invented by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, or a digital currency, that uses rules of cryptography for regulation and generation of units of currency. Bitcoin falls under the scope of cryptocurrency and was the first and most valuable among them. It is commonly called a decentralized digital currency.
At the current moment in time, Bitcoin is hovering around $6,500, remaining relatively flat over the last 30 days.

Bitcoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer electronic crypto currency. There is no governing body or issuing authority for Bitcoin. Bitcoin network operates on cryptographic protocol and the public database is fault tolerant and resistance to corruption. Bitcoin network operateswithout a central repository or a centralized administration and the transactions directly takes place between users.

Bitcoins can be converted to other real world currencies and can be used for payment. Bitcoins are created by mining. Mining is the process by which volunteers known as miners lend their computing power to verify transactions and record them in a public ledger. Miners keep the network secure.

Well, maybe, but I'm 100% sure that this is still distant future. For now, Bitcoin is only a virtual money, it doesn't exist to many many people

I think that definition is still a little bit too simplified and may be misleading. Transferring money through blockchain may have low fees and decentralized, but for people who don't know how to code, they still have to rely on third-party with somewhat kind of fees. Am I right?

Satoshi Nakamoto created this foremost cryptocurrency of  the world Bitcoin by the pseudo name  in the early 2008. He hided his identity in the time of creating this digital gold and is still mysterious. Nobody can tell you who he is. Bitcoin was used some time later from its introduction in 2009 by the crypto enthusiasts across some part of the world.

Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency, it is a form of electronic cash. It is a decentralized digital currency without a central bank or single administrator that can be sent from user to user on the peer-to-peer bitcoin blockchain network without the need for intermediaries. It is mostly used for online payment, electronically if there is an agreement between buyers and sellers.

Bitcoin - it is the thing, which showed us that money can be used in another way.
Many years people thought, that only fiat money, oil and gold can cost something. But it's not true. Even some digital things, which you can touch and see can cost something.

In short, Bitcoin is a virtual currency or reference to technology. You can make transactions by check, transfer, or cash. You can also use Bitcoin (or BTC), where you direct the buyer to your signature, which is a long line of security code encrypted with 16 different symbols. The buyer decodes the code with his or her smart phone to get your crypto-currency. In other words, crypto-currency is an exchange of digital information that allows you to buy or sell goods and services. The transaction acquires its security and trust by running on a peer-to-peer computer network that is similar to Skype, or BitTorrent, a file sharing system.

Bitcoin was invented by someone using the name Satoshi Nakamoto. It is a digital and global money system currency which allows people to send/receive money across the internet, even to someone they don't know. Money can be exchanged without being linked to a real identity.

In the field of blockchain, people usually misunderstand and confuse between terms like bitcoin and blockchain. Even though both are related to each other, there is a huge difference between their roles. The vast majority of people who know about blockchains, from around the world think that both words are the same, but, as a matter of fact, one is a complementary factor to another. The term bitcoin came from the bitcoin blockchain. There are a lot of misconceptions among people about how cryptocurrency is related to the blockchain.
The word bitcoin was first introduced in the world of blockchain by an anonymous person called Satoshi Nakamoto, whose origins still remain unknown.  The term bitcoin was penned for the world's first-ever blockchain called “Bitcoin” blockchain in which Nakomoto introduced the world’s first decentralized cryptocurrency also named the same. Now the first blockchain was invented and named as bitcoin, the bitcoin cryptocurrency was running smoothly on the bitcoin blockchain. The whole world got interested in the newly arrived cryptocurrency and all started to buy it.As the demand is directly proportional to the price the wide demand for the first cryptocurrency got purged and it reached its peak. The price purge of the bitcoin was a tremendous surprise for the entire world. It also attracted investors around the globe to make a big-time investment. At that time when everyone was so busy buying bitcoin, another blockchain got introduced to the market called Ethereum. The ethereum was more advanced than the bitcoin blockchain in terms of software development. It introduced a feature called “smart contract” which was a viable source for the entire software development field. After the arrival of many more blockchain, the confusion between blockchain and bitcoin also rose. Many people around the globe began to interpret that the blockchain and the bitcoin are the same.

Bitcoin is a virtual currency created and stored in cyberspace without any controlling authority. Unlike euros or dollars, bitcoins are not printed. On the contrary, this currency is produced by individuals and businesses, also known as bitcoin digging farms, which have become increasingly popular recently. The production uses computer resources and special software that solves various mathematical tasks.
Bitcoins can be used to pay for online purchases. In this respect, the cryptocurrency is equivalent to conventional currencies such as the euro or the dollar, which are also used in cyberspace.

The main feature that distinguishes it from traditional currencies is decentralization. As we have already mentioned, there is no single institution that controls the money-making process. For some people, this seems like a big advantage, as no huge bank can control their money.

Is there a limit to the "excavation" of bitcoins?

Really so. According to the protocol (rules followed by the currency network), the maximum number of "excavated" bitcoins is 21 million. Be that as it may, this electronic currency can be broken down into smaller units. The smallest possible unit is one hundred millionth of bitcoin, named Satoshi in honor of the founder.

There are several important features that fundamentally distinguish cryptocurrencies from traditional currencies.

Decentralization
The bitcoin network is not controlled by a single central body. Each computer that "digs" the currency and confirms payments contributes to the operation of the network, so the whole network consists of many individual entities and manages the currency. This means that one central government cannot make changes that have dire consequences or deprive people of money, as the European Central Bank did in Cyprus in 2013. Even if any part of the network disconnects from the Internet, the circulation of money does not stop.
Easy to get started
Traditional banks force people to go through many different procedures just to open a bank account. To open an account for payments or trade, people have to overcome even bigger mazes of bureaucracy. It only takes a few moments to open a bitcoin account and it costs nothing.
Anonymity
Users may have multiple bitcoin wallets that are not associated with their name, address of residence, or other personal information. This by no means means that you can get rid of responsibility for your actions.
Transparency
Every order made with bitcoin currency is recorded and stored in a huge database called a blockchain. If you use a bitcoin wallet in public, anyone who wants to can find out how much money is or has been in it, but no one can find out who owns it. There are certain actions that people can take to hide their activities on the bitcoin network. For example, do not use the same address for multiple orders or transfer many bitcoins to the same address.
Price of payments
One of the main advantages of bitcoins was the low cost of payment orders, but with the sharp increase in the number of transfers in this currency, the price of transfers also increased significantly. The Bitcoin community is currently looking for solutions to eliminate this problem.
Sparta
Payment in bitcoin currency will reach the recipient as soon as the currency network processes the payment information. Theoretically, the duration of the order should be only a few minutes, but due to the high loads of the plaster, the orders currently take significantly longer.
The possibility to recover the order does not exist
When bitcoins leave the wallet, there is no going back. Unless the recipient himself returns them back.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency. There are no physical bitcoins, only balances kept on a public ledger that everyone has transparent access to. All bitcoin transactions are verified by a massive amount of computing power.

I feel like trading in Forex is still a bit less risky than investing it in Bitcoin. There is no doubt the element of risk present in Forex Trading, but at least we could predict it somewhat with Trading strategies.

Bitcoin is the hardest soundest store of value in the world. It's the best investment option we have had in years and a certainty in terms of tremendous ROI over time. We should all be grateful bitcoin exists, furthermore we should all be grateful that we have the privilege of knowing about bitcoin while it's still in relatively early stages of adoption.

Each Bitcoin is considered to be a computer file which would be stored in a 'digital wallet' app on a smartphone or computer. People could be sending Bitcoins or even part of it to your digital wallet, and you could send Bitcoins to other people. Every single transaction would be recorded in a public list known as the blockchain.

Some countries and cities could use Bitcoin as a legal currency for trading. But most of them are not. As time went by, I believe the virtual currency will be used to replace the physical money. And now, what is NFT and is it related to Bitcoin?

It follows the considerations set out in a whitepaper by the bewildering and pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto.  The identity of the individual or people who made the innovation is as yet a secret. Bitcoin offers the guarantee of lower exchange charges than conventional online installment instruments and, not at all like officially sanctioned monetary standards, it is worked by a decentralized position.
Bitcoin is a sort of cryptographic money. There is no physical bitcoin, just correspondence kept on a freely available report that everyone has direct permission to. All bitcoin trades are affirmed by a huge proportion of handling power. Bitcoin isn't given or supported by any banks or governments, nor is an individual bitcoin important as an item. In spite of its anything but being legitimate delicate in many pieces of the world, bitcoin is famous and has set off the dispatch of many other cryptographic forms of cash, overall implied as altcoins. Bitcoin is ordinarily contracted as "BTC."

Trading bitcoin is considered to be just like trading anything else on an exchange. You could trade dollars for euros through forex, as well as dollars for bitcoins on the exchanges. It is quite similar, but it would be depending on the idea that it would be traded on an actual currency

Bitcoin, which you often know as cryptocurrency, a virtual currency or a digital currency, is a type of money that would be completely virtual, like an online version of cash.

Great article!! Really nice insights. I think some people struggle with claiming bitcoin as a currency because it's not something that they can "hold." We can hold dollars and coins. Of course, the newest generation won't have any prob seeing btc as a currency since everything is digital to them as it is -- they don't know any different.

Thanks buddy good  information on there

Bitcoin is a digital currency which operates free of any central control or the oversight of banks or governments. Instead it relies on peer-to-peer software and cryptography. A public ledger records all bitcoin transactions and copies are held on servers around the world.
