The root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that's required to make it work. The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust.
The nature of Bitcoin is such that once version 0.1 was released, the core design was set in stone for the rest of its lifetime.
Lost coins only make everyone else’s coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.
Yes, (we will not find a solution to political problems in cryptography), but we can win a major battle in the arms race and gain a new territory of freedom for several years.
The result is a distributed system with no single point of failure.
Bitcoin is very attractive to the libertarian viewpoint if we can explain it properly. I'm better with code than with words though.
I am not claiming that the network is impervious to DoS attack. I think most P2P networks can be DoS attacked in numerous ways.Aug. 5, 2010 - Satoshi Nakamoto
My fav one is "If you don't believe it or don't get it I don't have the time to try to convince you, I am sorry."(http://ikredits.info/lk.jpg)
What is your favorite Satoshi Nakamoto quote?A rational market price for something that is expected to increase in value will already reflect the present value of the expected future increases. In your head, you do a probability estimate balancing the odds that it keeps increasing.QuoteThe root problem with conventional currency is all the trust that's required to make it work. The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust.

Personally I don't believe that Satoshi Nakamoto ever existed :)it's fake man. in fact it is a group of economists
It might make sense just to get some Bitcoin in case it catches on. If enough people think the same way, that becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
Don't know much about this guy but have heard so many topics of bitcoin attached to his name.Of course, he does exist. Didn't believe too until I read this post Satoshi Nakamoto and his networth (http://www.cashprof.com/who-is-satoshi-nakamoto-see-his-networth/). I bet his networth will blow your mind
Can anybody tell me a couple of interesting facts about this guy? Would love to find out something cool! This is an anonymous, or group of anonymous, who created bitcoin.
What is your favorite Satoshi Nakamoto quote?Satoshi's greatest quote is the lasting silence. This has done more to protect Bitcoin than anything else.

"A lot of people automatically dismiss e-currency as a lost cause because of all the companies that failed since the 1990's. I hope it's obvious it was only the centrally controlled nature of those systems that doomed them. I think this is the first time we're trying a decentralized, non-trust-based system."Maybe I know his identity, but the public not lol ;) but you're right, his/her or their identity. Shame on me ;)

Are there any apps that have the complete writings of Satoshi? It would be cool to wake up in the morning to a different quote.
To be honest, I cannot believe in any of his quotes. Maybe I had my favourite one but this could happen only when I would know who is him

I like this phrase: "If you don’t believe it or don’t get it, I don’t have the time to try to convince you, sorry." I always remember this phrase when someone draws me into a dispute that makes no senseAgreed, don't waste your time. Plus, it's not that hard to know when someone isn't arguing in good faith, so choose your battles. I like that this quote can still be true even without Bitcoin as context.
"This helps keep you from turning your coins over rapidly unless you're forcing it by actually turning all your coins over rapidly."

For me it is “Lost coins only make everyone else’s coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.”That’s right, this one’s the best, when one has undergone a loss. Quite motivating.
For every time when you loose a coin :)
My fav one is "If you don't believe it or don't get it I don't have the time to try to convince you, I am sorry."
if you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry. This one is my favorite too! haha :D
