MT GOX are scammers. Clearly!
« on: November 28, 2013, 10:05:14 AM »
Hello Guys,

Well Ive got a serious problem on my hands and Im using the small voice i have to warn fellow bitcoin users to avoid MT GOX like the plague!
I decided to change exchangers recently and opened an account with MT GOX.
They put me through what can only be described as an overly excessive sign up procedure. Which included my ID and billing statements being requested in an unsecure format (via email.. scarey).
To cut to the chase, I sold bitcoins on my account and proceeded to cash out via bank transfer. This was 4 weeks ago and nothing arrived as of yet. I proceeded to message support yesterday, and guess what? No replies.
So i continued frequently messaging, fearing i got scammed. And honest to God this is the email i received today by a support staff member called marion.

The funds are still on the account pending and they have blocked my account because i contacted support and that consitutes as abuse?

I will keep contacting MT GOX and I will keep updating this thread.
But as of now, be warned guys or try them at your own expense in terms of time and money!

lol yeah, I figured it out when people weren't getting any money out... basically a bunch of money going in and bitcoin transactions/trading.. no cash out.. that's why the numbers are out of sync with the other exchanges.. people are trapped

I got out today.. took some profits with conversion to precious metals.. testing ebay as well.. (to paypal ;) - this page had a few good ideas I'm testing out... newbielink:http://bitcoinprofits.blogspot.ca/2013/11/ways-to-sell-your-bitcoins.html [nonactive]

I need to take some profit here... can't hold everything for ever... mtgox is scary

Still no word from MT Gox. They are refusing to reply to me and furthermore I think they are trying to IP address block me from even creating a support ticket without registration.
"Peter" from support deleted/closed 2 of my open tickets.
