Cloudhashing
« on: January 04, 2014, 11:30:29 PM »
Hello Everyone.  Very new to bitcoins, but I understand the basic principles...  I think.  :D  I understand mining bitcoins is basically impossible for the individual "computer" or pools, or at least impractical from a financial standpoint given the computer needs and power requirements.  And especially with my lack of computer skills.  With that being said, I have heard about "cloud mining".  The one company I was looking at is cloudhashing.com.   I was wondering what people here thought of this idea.  Would it be worth buying a contract, even the cheapest $999 contract?  I know a lot of it greatly depends on the price of bitcoins either staying close to what they are now, or going up.  I guess I have a few questions with regards to this.  I am not very versed in hashing rates and that kind of stuff.  But lets assume the price of bitcoins at least stays around $800.  I know, maybe a big assumption.  Is it better to just buy bitcoins, or is it better to buy a contract from cloudhashing?  From their website they say they have a Pool Hashrate: 211.39 Th/s.  The $999 one year contract says Bonus 10.00 Gh/s increase January 31st 10.00 Gh/s Mining Power.  I guess it comes down to how many bitcoins one thinks this kind of contract will yield in a year (anyones help here would be appreciated).  If its at least 2 bitcoins, with the price staying constant, it would seem to be a good investment.  I guess one has to take into account the reputation of the company also.

Would love to hear what others think about this.

Thank You everyone!!!

There are have been a lot of complaints about that company.

I would stay away from them personally.  Google their name and you'll find some reviews.
