What's stopping crypto from mass adoption?
« on: September 11, 2019, 10:02:42 AM »

The crypto space is not very noob friendly: bitcoin and blockchain are complex daunting topics; cryptocurrencies themselves are not very user-friendly; and the cryptocurrency space has gathered a bad reputation for being filled with scams. A small mistake sending coins from your wallet can cause you to lose your money and ruin your experience. So, while everyone has heard about blockchain and bitcoin, people are not only unsure how to get started, they are also faced with these high barriers to entry.

TokenTuber’s mission is to lower the barriers to entry to the cryptocurrency space so that mass adoption of cryptocurrencies can be achieved. On TokenTuber you can learn and educate yourself on everything you need within the crypto space. We will hold your hand and guide you on your journey in the crypto world. Not only that, you can also earn your first cryptocurrency and trade it with absolutely no cost.

We are looking for global partners to make this vision become reality! Feel free reach us via contact@TokenTuber.com

I would definitely say government regulation is really slowing things down, atleast here for us that are in the United States.

Policies. We need universal policies worldwide. We need an international governing body to enforced and execute those policies and laws. When that happens, the scammers and sh*t coins will disappear, jailed or just gone. billions that are getting spent on those coins/tokens will come back to Bitcoin and the 10% of legitimate crypto left.

Many factors - legislation, ignorance, tradition, the unstable market, and so on and so forth.

Personally, distrust of bitcoin bothers me. This is very volatile, I do not know at every moment how much bitcoin really costs. A lot of cryptocurrencies. Why are there so many of them? If there was one bitcoin, then there would be more trust.

Yep, it does take a little more patience when dealing with crypto. But the news, mainly negative, are more than enough to scare people I think.

First, definitely its because of the legality part. Also, I think people aren’t that aware about this field, that knowledge is lacking somewhere.

That is why I tend to stick to the popular cryptocurrencies. As many altcoins disappear as they appear every year.

And of course, I agree that cryptocurrencies are difficult to use. One must possess a store of knowledge. Too lazy to learn, probably in vain. It’s not as easy as pulling cash out of your wallet or paying with a credit card in a supermarket.

I think it's because the government wants to keep the right to make money. Also agree with the author of the post above, we need knowledge to understand cryptocurrency, and not everyone wants to learn.

Cryptocurrencies give a lot more power over the financial markets to ordinary people and governments do not like that.

Not everyone understands what cryptocurrency is. Basically, this industry is developing because of the usual interest in something new and thirst for money, but many people fear the unknown and therefore do not invest in crypto.

Agreed, that greed to make quick money is what is attracting people towards crypto.
