many companies are employing it to improve their business processes. By providing a secure, decentralized and immutable ledger, blockchain technology has become indispensable in ecosystems where data integrity is critical. Therefore,  it is considered as a possible solution to the challenges presented by elections.

Is there any country that intends to use this technology for such a purpose?

I am curious too if there are any real life implementations of the idea. Especially given how incredibly outdated and badly secured voting machines are.

Indeed. The question, however, is whether the technology will make them more or less safe.

The question is: Is it at all intentional on the part of the state to facilitate free access to elections for more/all people?
Security is used as an argument - and this point should not be ignored - but the intention, in my view, is not to invite people to vote who would otherwise not have the chance to do so.
