PIVX has a lot of potential in 2018, it is definitely worth buying PIVX, imo.

What do you think about it?

Bitcoin discussion / Blockchain Explained, Simply
« on: December 10, 2017, 07:35:39 PM »

OK, let’s connect all the dots:
    • Bitcoin is a decentralized, public ledger. This ledger is known as a blockchain. There is no trusted third party controlling the Bitcoin blockchain. Instead, anyone can read it, write to it, and hold a copy.
    • The Bitcoin blockchain tracks a single asset: bitcoin. The blockchain has rules, one of which states that there will only ever be 21M bitcoin. All participants must agree to Bitcoin’s rules in order to use it.
    • Because anyone can read it and write to it, Bitcoin needs a method to establish consensus among untrusted nodes — unlike Alice’s and Bob’s distributed ledger shared among trusted friends. It solves this problem via clever economics:
    • Incentive: The first miner to verify transactions and devote immense computing power to secure the blockchain can append a block of transactions to the chain of previous blocks. This miner is rewarded with bitcoin, and the race starts over every ten minutes.
    • Disincentive: Bad actors are dissuaded from attacking the blockchain, because it’s effectively a money-losing proposition.

Heres some things to get you started in understanding the value that IOTA (Internet of Things) and machine to machine transactions means.

The blockchain vs the tangle, machine to machine m2m transactions, no miners, no fees, infinite scaling..

Ripple is pretty good, but I personally prefer IOTA, the m2m and tangle model is very intriguing

Well, there you have it folks! Getting closer and closer to that magical $20k number that everyone has been hyping about for Bitcoin ( $BTC) the past few weeks. It really is amazing how fast this has risen, and has proven time and time again that alts/ethereum has not been the best investment. If you bought Bitcoin besides anything else, you'd likely have double the profit as today.

Would be great to get some free IOTA, do you have a way to attain them? =)

Heya that just means that less supply is available, therefor increasing the price!

I'm sure ALL cryptos have lost coins / tokens. I know ethereum has a good many, and a good amount of them happened recently with the Parity hack!

This is interesting to know, thank you for the information.

Bitcoin may or not become legal in India, but blockchain technology is here to stay and will be allowed in some form.

I heard internet money back in 2013, started mining a bit.. but saw it wasn't very profitable for my machine at the time so forgot about it for a few years. If I had only stuck with it..
