Pretty sure the Baltic region is all over it but they are kind of a progress mecca anyway, trying new stuff as fast as possible, which would be too expensive or brave for bigger or richter states to do.  Using the crypto technology itself is kind of a direct boon for those, i also see the advantages of crypto currencies but some kind of RoT are going to be implemented anyway.

Bitcoin discussion / Re: will people lose intrest?

Well, first of all, what would "dying" even mean? Can't imagine a scenario in which Bitcoin would be dying for real....would mean the actual rate going way below even 1k and i can't even imagine this. ;) After all, the crypto-technology is going to thrive on the long run and BTC is directly connected to it and its public understanding so. To reply to the question more meaningfully: Those altcoins which are able to offer an usage of their own and which can be implemented into daily life are going to do just fine. Those who are only uplifted by BTC or hollow hype..not so much.

No sure, what it would take to really lose most of those who got onto the train in late 2017 and have invested way too much for their own taste to just jump off the train again. In general i am a big fan of market correction, just a bit difficult to argue something is correction, if so many players are trying to influence the rate in a less than transparent way or are using the freshness for their own goals.

Bitcoin discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency was created to be decentralized

Decentralized does not mean independent from all influences...mostly it is about less direct control and less state regulation. Well, since politicans are interested, the states get more and more involved anyway so the new threshold is - independent comparend to what? Still more or less a clear question but you should never ask for philosophical purity.

Just stumbled over your project. Have to say. i am as impressed as somehow shocked about the possible implications for work-related laws.

You could write about Nebula Network. It's decentralized storage cloud and seems to be very innovative project. Main advantage is stable exchange rate separated from BitCoin :)

Interesting...should improve the stability. May i ask if it is connected to any other kind of exchange or value? :)

Bought some just for fun a few years ago. You know, experimenting and stuff. Even wasted a few of them, which would make me kind of sad if i thought too long and hard about it.

Altcoin discussion / Re: Ticketing with cryptocurrencies?
« on: March 07, 2018, 10:54:10 PM »
Good evening,

Well, i don't think there are a lot of projects right now which are focused on that area but at least a few. ;) Last Week i read this article about the Cultural Coin:
https://thenextweb.com/cryptocurrency/2018/03/02/startup-creating-cultural-cryptocurrency-museums-institutions/

Seems like some kind of ticketing and crowdfunding solution for supporters/visitors of museums/landmarks. If it works out like the creators have planned it, you could buy tickets by using such Coins or a museum could for example start a crowdfunding pool for hosting some new event.

ICO runs right now (until early April) but before you make a decision, you should also read the whitepaper:

Nice list, gets harder each day to know at least about most new projects. ;)

@Richard...i was soooo sure you would be joking about those tokens but ...it seems after all my mind was not open enough for those eh...manly coins.

I understand that this advice is meant to be cynical but it's getting to the gist of it. Like in any kind of economic situation, you are forced to make your own decisions - but you can learn where to look for information.

Bitcoin discussion / Re: What is your best Bitcoin Security practices?

I prefer "cold storage" wallets

Absolutely agree with this, most sensible way by far, in my humble opinion. There is never total security but it's the closest approach.

Let's say as someone, who generally likes playing boarding games, monopoly is an unfair game under the best of circumstances and not even the endless options of crypto-software are able to change this fact. ;)

Bitcoin discussion / Re: Are you spending your Bitcoin?
« on: March 02, 2018, 07:24:50 PM »
Didnt know that in 2014 wikipedia was accepting bitcoin donations (and made quite a lot in just one week). Is wikipedia still accepting bitcoin donations or was it just once?

I did not know about this before but googling for about 3 secs seems to suggest this is still the case. :)

Would have added a link but i guess that's not an option here. ^^
