How to keep my Bitcoin and Ethereum secure?

I've recently seen a surge of hacks and people's wallets containing a large sum of money got compromised. This makes cyber security very important and here are some tips I would like to share to my fellow crypto friends.

Best practices for crypto security:
1. Use hardware wallets.
These are physical devices that store your private keys offline, making them less susceptible to online hacking attempts.

2. Secure your private keys
Whether using a software or hardware wallet, always keep your private key in a secure place, like write it down. Do not share them with anyone (even your friends), and store them in a safe place (definitely not Google Keep or your phone notes).

3. Beware of phishing scams
Verify the authenticity of websites and never click into suspicious links. Many scams are sent through normal messages from Whatsapp and Telegram, but those might be phishing scams, which will take your money when you connect your wallet to the link.

4. Diversify your storage
Instead of keeping all your eggs to one basket, consider diversifying storage into different wallets, different accounts and majority into hardware wallets.

If you were to ask me, I would recommend using either Ledger Nano (if you have NFTs too) or OneKey Classic as a hardware wallet as they are both reputable companies and are affordable. They have both sold millions of hardware wallets to users and have been a staple in the crypto industry. OneKey wallets are also very beginner friendly, so you can definitely start off over there.

Remember, security is an ongoing process, and staying vigilant is key to protecting your Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies safe.
